We believe in nurturing creativity and imagination in students from an early age. That's why we partnered with the renowned New Haven Ballet to provide our first graders with an unforgettable artistic experience. For the past few weeks, our students have been stepping, twirling, and leaping under the guidance of a trained ballet professional, discovering the joy and discipline of dance. The program began with introducing our young learners to the fundamental principles of ballet, emphasizing the importance of posture, balance, and coordination. The New Haven Ballet instructor brings years of experience and a unique ability to connect with children, making the basics of ballet not only accessible but exhilarating. Every lesson is designed to accommodate all levels, focusing on developing the physical and cognitive skills that come through dance. Through the program, students learn: - Basic ballet terminology and positions - Simple routines that encourage memory and sequencing - The importance of teamwork and synchronization - Physical coordination and flexibility As they glide across the classroom, these young dancers are building more than just artistic skills—they're gaining confidence and learning to work together in harmony, valuable skills that transcend beyond the dance floor. At Obama, we’re proud to offer such enriched extracurricular programs that broaden our students' experiences and enhance their development. Dance is just the beginning; through partnerships like these, the possibilities are truly endless. Stay tuned for more stories about how our students are discovering their passions through incredible programs like this one!

Dear Parents,
As I reflect on this year, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your incredible partnership throughout the year. Together, we have created magical experiences for our young scholars, many of whom have successfully met their growth goals. This collective achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration and commitment. While we have made significant progress, there are still challenges ahead that we must face together. Education remains the great equalizer, and our united efforts are essential to ensure our scholars are not only in school but prepared and eager to learn each day. With the new academic year approaching, I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm. We have the opportunity to build on this year’s achievements and strive for even greater success. I am confident that through our continued partnership, we will empower our scholars to exceed expectations and confidently rise above the status quo. Thank you once again for your unwavering support. Let’s continue to work together to create an inspiring and enriching educational journey for our scholars.
